James‘ story starts in 2011 when he was working as an electronics technician focused on fault diagnosis and repair of PCBs, sensors, displays, cameras, and other peripherals typically found within cellular devices and laptops. Progressing his knowledge and hands-on skillset over a 5-year period enabled him to move into an Engineering position working for a global leader in ICT solutions, Ericsson.

For the following two years James worked as an engineer on the UK’s national cellular network infrastructure. Covering everything from VSWR & PIM investigation to commissioning and ongoing maintenance of cellular base stations and their backhaul with a lot of climbing cell towers in-between.

After 7-years working in engineering James wanted to gain further exposure to the wider engineering field so moved into STEM recruitment sector.

6-years later having progressed to a Principal Specialist level helping some of the most fascinating organisations around the world deliver on everything from fusion reactors to cloaking tech (yes its real), ground-breaking medical devices, wearables, safety critical aerospace and defence projects and more it was time to found Embedded & Electronics Recruitment Solutions.
